Jason Rupp, received his MD and PhD from Indiana University. Following an internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, he completed his ophthalmology residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. As a resident, he was given the Clinical Excellence Award for Professionalism, Integrity, and Compassion by the clinical staff. He was also selected by his peers to receive the Ron Burde “Good Egg” Award for his “selfless dedication to excellence, helping other physicians, and providing superb care.” He stayed at Washington University for a Fellowship in Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery where he trained with world leaders in the field. He became an expert in traditional glaucoma surgery as well as micro-invasive glaucoma surgery that has revolutionized the surgical treatment of glaucoma. He also specializes in the surgical management of routine and complex cataracts, intraocular lens exchange and implantation, and abnormal pupils.

In his leisure time, Dr. Rupp enjoys many sports including baseball, basketball, golf, and skiing. He particularly loves coaching his kids’ teams. He and his wife enjoy traveling and are excited to be back in their home state of Utah after many years in the Midwest. He and his wife have four children.
